Historic village with medieval roots.
Direct access to some of Kent's best walking routes.
Beautiful view, quiet lanes and open countryside.

The Elham Valley is a place where natural beauty and history sit side by side. Rolling countryside, characterful buildings, and miles of peaceful footpaths make it a wonderful area to explore at your own pace.
You’ll also find everything you need right in the heart of the village: an award-winning pub, a friendly convenience store, a lively village hall, charming tea house, tennis courts, doctor’s surgery, children’s play park, pre‑school, primary school, and a beautiful village church.
If you’re keen to head out on a walk, Elham is a gateway to several scenic walking routes, including parts of the Elham Valley Way, a long‑distance trail running from Hythe to Canterbury. A large map board in the Square provides walking guides, and more are available in the village store.
One of Elham’s quirkiest features is its heritage-listed K2 red phone box, one of the iconic 1920s designs by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Today, it houses a public‑access defibrillator, blending history with community care.
The Elham Valley Parish Council meets on the first Monday of each month in the evening. Everyone is welcome to attend, and full details can be found on this website.
